What we expect from everyone

• Treat other members of the community with honesty, respect and patience
• Communicate in good faith, including in mentor-Fellow chats, community contributions and reflections
• Respect confidentiality, don't share another person's private conversations or submissions without their consent
• Never harass, discriminate against, or intimidate anyone in the community

Specifically for mentors

Mentors hold a position of trust. Beyond the general expectations above, mentors are expected to keep communication professional and appropriate, respond to their matched Fellows in reasonable time, and use the formal query system, not informal pressure, if a genuine concern about a Fellow needs addressing.

Specifically for Fellows

Fellows are expected to engage honestly with tasks, reflections and their mentor relationship, respect their mentor's time, and represent themselves and the STUF community well in anything shared publicly through the platform.

What happens if this isn't followed

Any Fellow can report a concern about a mentor or another Fellow privately from their dashboard, or through our Contact page. Reports are reviewed by our team, not left to the two parties to resolve alone. Depending on severity, outcomes can range from a conversation, to a formal mentor query, to removal from the platform.
