Submission guidelines
Length: up to 1,000 words. Shorter, focused stories are often stronger than long ones —
pick one moment or lesson rather than your whole journey.
Voice: write in the first person, in your own words. We edit lightly for clarity, not to
change how you sound.
Topic: anything true to your undergraduate or graduate experience — academics, mental
health, finances, relationships, career, faith, resilience, a turning point, a failure you learned
from. If you're unsure it fits, submit it anyway and let our editors take a look.
Originality: your story should be your own, not previously published elsewhere.
Photo: optional — a photo of you helps readers connect with your story, but isn't required.
