Freshers Fellowship Programme

A guided first year — mentorship, live sessions and a community built for undergraduates just starting out.

The Freshers Fellowship is where many Fellows first meet STWU — a structured programme built specifically for undergraduates in their early years, when the gap between secondary school and university life can feel widest.

Over each cohort, Fellows get matched with a mentor, take part in live Straight Talk sessions, and join a community of peers navigating the same transition at the same time. It is not a one-off orientation talk — it runs across a full cohort cycle, with real check-ins along the way.

What you get

  • A matched mentor for the length of the cohort
  • Access to live and recorded Straight Talk sessions
  • A peer community of fellow first-year students
  • A certificate and standing to apply for later STWU opportunities

Applications open per cohort — join the community to be notified when the next one opens.
